Privacy
Notarius is local-first.
On the Mac
Recordings, transcripts, task ledgers and analysis dossiers are files on your Mac. They are not uploaded, synced or read by anyone. There are no accounts and no telemetry.
What touches the network
The app talks to the network for exactly three things:
- License activation – one call when a key is activated, sending the key and a hardware identifier and returning a signed license. After that the license verifies offline; the server is not contacted again.
- Whisper models – the transcription models are downloaded once, inside the app, on first run.
- Analysis, if you turn it on – dossiers are written by Claude Code under your own Anthropic subscription. When an analysis runs, the transcript goes straight from your Mac to Anthropic's servers – the same as running the analysis in Claude yourself. There is no EZIC server in the path.
- We never receive, store or have access to your meetings/recordings/analysis.
This website
The site sets no cookies and keeps no accounts. Entering a license key sends it to the license server to authorize a download – nothing else is collected.
Recording consent
Depending on local law, recording a conversation may require the consent of the people in it. Notarius records only when you press the button; obtaining consent is your responsibility.
