Notarius is local-first. Here is what that means in full.

On the Mac

Recordings, transcripts, task lists, reports and briefs are files on your Mac, in one folder you can open, back up or delete yourself. They are not uploaded, synced or read by anyone. There are no accounts and no telemetry. Calendar events are read on the Mac to name recordings and build the morning brief, and never leave it.

What touches the network

• The report, when you ask for one. Reports, amends and briefs are written on your Mac by Claude Code, signed in to your own Claude subscription; there is no EZIC server in the path and EZIC sees nothing. What that run sends is the same as when you paste into a chat yourself: the transcript text goes from your Mac to Anthropic under your own plan, for that run only. The audio never goes. The same applies when you ask Claude about a meeting through the connector, which is off by default.
• Licence activation. One call when a key is activated, sending the key and a device identifier and returning a signed licence. After that the licence verifies offline. After each update the app reports its version number to the same server, and nothing else.
• Update check. Once a day the app asks EZIC's update server for the newest version. You choose when an update installs.
• Transcription models. Downloaded once, inside the app, on first run, and checked against a pinned checksum.

We never receive, store or have access to your recordings, transcripts or reports.

This website

The site sets no cookies and keeps no accounts. Entering a licence key sends it to the licence server to authorize a download. When you request a licence key, you allow us to process your email, your name and your form answer to review the request and to reply with a key.

Recording consent

Depending on local law, recording a conversation may require the consent of the people in it. Notarius does not announce itself to the other side. Getting consent is your responsibility.
