The local-first meeting scribe for macOS
Records both sides of a call, transcribes on-device, analyzes through Claude Code. Everything stays on your Mac

What it does
On-device multi-lang transcription
Whisper runs on this Mac; audio is never sent anywhere. English, Russian and Ukrainian – even meetings that switch between them. Hebrew is next.
Meeting detection
When another app takes the microphone – Zoom, Meet, a huddle – Notarius offers to record. It only notifies; recording never starts by itself.
Calendar heads-up
Ten seconds before a scheduled meeting, a notification with the record panel ready, named after the event. Opt-in, Apple Calendar.
Task ledger
Commitments from each meeting land as checklists that persist per session.
Them-side PDF export
One click makes a handout PDF for the other side of the table – just what's relevant to them: decisions, action items, open questions, dates. Your private read of the meeting stays home.
Analysis with Claude Code
Dossiers built from Notarius's own block system, tuned to the meeting type – a client call reads differently than a dev 1-1. Some blocks read between the lines – contradictions, risks, subtext – and those are for your eyes only. Claude Code writes it through your own subscription.
Google Meet import
Paste a Meet transcript and it lands as a session next to your recordings – no audio involved, ready for analysis like any other meeting.
Resilient recording
Devices come and go mid-call – AirPods connect, a headset dies – and the recording follows without dropping. Silence watchdogs warn when a track goes quiet.

Notice
Notarius is pre-release software, provided as is. Where local law requires consent to record a conversation, obtaining it is your responsibility.
- Apple Silicon Mac – the dmg is aarch64-only.
- macOS 14.4 or later – the floor for the system-audio tap.
- Whisper models download inside the app on first run – nothing to install by hand.
- Analysis needs Claude Code (the claude CLI) with your own subscription; recording and transcription work without it.
No key? The alpha is invite-only – keys are handed out personally. Write to dev@ezic.io.
What macOS will ask you
- Microphone
- Your side of the conversation.
- System Audio Recording
- The other side – the audio your Mac plays. Asked once, the first time a recording starts.
- Notifications
- Meeting detection banners, the calendar heads-up, and silence warnings.
- Calendar
- Only if you turn the calendar heads-up on. Events are read on this Mac and never leave it.
